Job summary

Mitie Group plc. Care & Custody invites applications for Detention Custody Officers near Heathrow. You will help keep residents safe and support welfare and decency in a busy immigration removal centre.

The role requires eligibility for CTC clearance, a valid UK passport (or EU passport with Share Code), or ILR, with 3 years' UK residence and no serious convictions. Training is paid: 5-week ITC on day one, with assessment centres in Oct–Nov 2026.

Qualifications

• Eligibility for CTC clearance with valid UK passport, EU passport with Share Code, or ILR.
• 3 years' residence in the UK with no extended trips overseas and no criminal convictions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain security and safety within the immigration removal centre.
• Support residents' welfare and decency and provide courteous assistance.
• Work as part of a 24/7 team with shift patterns including days and nights.
