Job summary

Avon and Somerset Police is recruiting Detective Constables to join our Investigations team as transferees. You will conduct proactive and reactive investigations into complex and serious crimes, while upholding our force values.

Officers must reside within the Avon and Somerset Force area or be eligible for relocation support of up to £8,000. The Local Government Pension Scheme applies, providing a secure retirement income.

Qualifications

• Eligible to transfer from a Home Office Police force.
• Have completed the full Initial Police Learning and Development Programme (IPLDP).
• Have completed probation and are working as an accredited detective.

You are eligible to transfer if you:

• are transferring from a Home Office Police force
• have successfully completed the full Initial Police Learning and Development Programme (IPLDP) programme
• have successfully completed your probationary period and are working as an accredited detective

The salary you will be offered on appointment will be equivalent to your current salary.
