Job summary

Harrington Starr seeks a Security Engineer focused on Detection Engineering in a greenfield setup. You will own the detection and response platform, shaping security controls across applications, infrastructure and cloud in a fast-growing environment.

You will collaborate with the CISO, engineering and operations to evolve security architecture, monitor threats, and drive secure development practices across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Strong professional experience in Security Engineering / Information Security.
• Experience with SIEM, security monitoring and/or incident response.
• Background in software development, operating systems or systems administration.
• Strong problem-solving and risk-management skills.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Build and own the detection and response platform in a greenfield environment.
• Design and implement security controls across applications, infrastructure and cloud.
• Perform security monitoring, detection engineering and incident response.
• Set authentication and authorisation architecture; manage internal certificate authority.
• Develop and enforce security standards and policies; embed security into development workflows.
