Travail Employment Group is recruiting an experienced Upholsterer for a Northampton-based operation specialising in high-quality upholstered products. You will apply fabric, assemble frames and work to daily production targets.

You will join a fast-paced production team, with competitive hourly pay (£13.50) and overtime. The role requires practical upholstery skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and with colleagues.

Qualifications

• Previous upholstery experience with gluing and fabric application.
• Strong eye for detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Comfortable using a variety of upholstery tools and equipment.
• Good practical and manual skills.
• Physically capable of lifting, pulling, moving and manipulating materials.
• Reliable and hardworking attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible approach and willingness to support the wider production team.

Responsibilities

• Upholster products across the full range to the highest quality standards.
• Follow daily production plans to complete work on schedule.
• Fit webbing into seats and prepare frames for upholstery.
• Cover frames with fabric using stitching, stapling, tacking and gluing.
• Use upholstery tools and equipment safely.
• Maintain attention to detail throughout production.
• Collaborate with colleagues to keep production running smoothly.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and quality.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment.
