Job summary

Greencore is hiring a Warehouse Operative at Manton Wood, Worksop. You will pack products, transfer materials, and prepare lines for production, while maintaining accuracy and traceability.

The role requires teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment. Overtime is paid and a range of on-site benefits are provided.

Qualifications

Proven experience as order picker or similar warehouse role.
Experience with voice picking systems or RF devices.
Experience or license in handling forklifts, pallets jacks and other equipment.
Able to read and write in English.

Responsibilities

Pack products and transfer from High Care Production areas.
Stack orders onto wheels or pallets as they are received.
Set up lines for production with correct packaging and labels.
Book packaging to production and track extra packaging needs.
Receive deliveries and store materials in designated areas.
Keep the work area clean and safe at all times.
Follow production plans and health & safety policies.

Rate of Pay

£14.20 per hour

paid at x1.25 hrs after 48 hours

We produce sandwiches and wraps for some of the biggest retailers in the UK including Co-op, Asda, Morrisons, Boots, Aldi and Lidl.Our Manton Wood site has a gym, restaurant with hot food and a staff shop available to all our colleagues.

What you'll be doing

As a Warehouse Operative you will be responsible to the packing of products as they are transferred from our High Care Production areas. There are various roles within our warehouse and some of the duties involved but not limited to are;

Completion of traceability paperwork (use by dates, amounts, prices, temperatures etc)
Stacking of packaged/trayed orders onto wheels or pallets as they are received
Setting up of lines ready for production to start – making sure correct packaging/trays/cages are available, correct labels are set up for printing
Ensuring tape machines are set up correctly and supplied with tape to keep lines running.
Following production plans to ensure correct packaging is issued to production for each order
Booking packaging to production on the computer, using Aurora system. Also booking and tracking any extra packaging required.
Receiving and locating of packaging on deliveries, putting deliveries away into storage area
Keeps area clean at all times - Identifies and utilizes down time to clean in, around and under all equipment
All other duties as assigned
Adhere to health & safety policies and quality standards
Storage and locating of goods received into our warehouse areas

Able to read and write in English
Ability to work as part of a team to complete orders and store deliveries
Basic level of Maths required (booking different amounts on computer, tracking extra bread issued etc)
Great attention to detail (completing traceability paperwork, important to be accurate)
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Strong communication skills and desire to work with other team members.
Ability to work under some pressure to ensure lines are serviced and able to run continuously
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Computer literacy, including knowing how to use scanners and relevant software programs, such as warehouse management systems (Aurora)
Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills to coordinate large volumes of goods
Honesty and trustworthiness
The ability to work effectively under limited supervision
