Job summary

Universal Business Team is seeking a Warehouse & Despatch Operative in Little Barford (UK) to join a hands-on team. Salary £34,000-£36,000, Mon-Fri 7:00-16:45, main duties covering goods receipt, storage, picking, packing and despatch to high standards.

The role requires drive, ownership and good attention to detail, with experience in warehouse environments and knowledge of stock control systems. Forklift training can be provided for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, stores, despatch or stock control.
• Understands day-to-day demands of warehouse operation and health and safety.
• Forklift licence preferred; training available for the right person.

Responsibilities

• Pack products to high presentation standards for customer delivery.
• Check paperwork, labels, quantities and packaging for accuracy.
• Receive incoming goods and verify against delivery docs.
• Report shortages, damage or discrepancies promptly.
• Keep stock organised, labelled and easy to locate.
• Support warehouse refurbishment and adapt to business needs.
