Job summary

Universal Business Team in Little Barford is seeking a Warehouse & Despatch Operative to ensure products are received, stored, picked, packed and despatched to the highest standard. This hands-on role sits at the heart of our operation and reports to the Despatch & Warehouse Team Leader.

You’ll work Mon-Fri 7:00–4:45, 34,000–36,000 per annum, with responsibilities across Goods In, packing, despatch, stock counts and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, stores, despatch or stock control environment.
• Able to work on feet for extended periods.
• Willing to learn and adapt in a busy warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Pick products accurately and prepare orders for despatch.
• Pack products to high presentation standards for customer delivery.
• Support despatch of national and international consignments.
• Check paperwork, labels and quantities to ensure first-time accuracy.
• Receive goods and check against delivery documents.
• Maintain stock organisation and accurate inventory.
• Assist with regular stock counts and issue resolution.
• Contribute to a safe, clean and well-organised warehouse.
