Job summary

phs Group plc in Barnsley, South Yorkshire is seeking a Warehouse Operative – Despatch to join the Operations Team. You will pick, pack and load orders for distribution to end consumers, care homes and businesses.

The role requires literacy, numeracy and strong organisational skills, with attention to detail and reliability. The job includes a rotating shift pattern and occasional weekend work in a full-time permanent position.

Responsibilities

• Picking and packing customer orders according to requirements and targets
• Stock being put away in predetermined locations and locations updated
• Regular cycle counting for product counts and location accuracy
• Liaising with Management to relay information on any issues with customer consignments
• Loading orders onto vehicles or preparing for collection by external carriers or click-and-collect
• Maintaining high Health and Safety standards and reporting safety observations
• Adhering to 5S and general warehouse cleaning and tidying
• Following ISO9001, 14001 and 45001 and other company policies and procedures
• Carrying out other duties as required by management to support operations
