Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd is recruiting on behalf of a Parcel Courier client for a Barnsley warehouse. The role covers a PM shift (2pm–10pm) with full-time and part-time opportunities.

You will sort parcels, operate conveyors and scanners, label items accurately, and support loading/unloading with a focus on safety and efficiency. Ideal candidates have warehouse/logistics interest, good attention to detail, and enjoy working in a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse or logistics is preferred but not required.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift varying weights.
• Detail-oriented for accurate sorting and labeling of parcels.
• Fast-paced environment experience with deadlines.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Flexible to night shifts and occasional overtime as needed.
• Reliable transportation to and from the warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Sort and organise incoming parcels accurately and efficiently based on designated routes and destinations.
• Operate conveyor belts, scanners, and other equipment to facilitate the sorting process.
• Ensure proper labelling and categorisation of parcels to prevent errors in delivery.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth workflow and meet deadlines.
• Identify damaged parcels and follow company protocols for proper handling and documentation.
• Assist in loading and unloading delivery vehicles, optimising space utilisation.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area to uphold safety and efficiency standards.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and security.
