Job summary

Allied Bakeries in Glasgow is seeking a Despatch Team Member to join our busy warehouse. You’ll pick, load and ship orders, rotate stock, and help keep deliveries on time and in good condition.

The role suits a team player with good numeracy, a reasonable fitness level for lifting, and a flexible approach to shifts. We offer strong benefits and progression opportunities.

Workdays are backshift 10:00–20:30; 5 days out of 7, with a supportive environment and ongoing training.

Responsibilities

• Picking & Loading: accurately assembling and loading products onto vehicles.
• Stock Rotation & Quality Control: ensuring fresh, high-quality products reach customers.
• Keeping Things Moving: identifying and resolving stock shortages or damage.
• Teamwork & Safety: meeting deadlines while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.
• Equipment Use: operating forklifts and other MHE safely.

Key Accountabilities

As a Despatch Team Member, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our customers receive their orders on time and in perfect condition. Your day-to-day will involve:

• Picking & Loading: Accurately assembling and loading products onto the right vehicles.
• Stock Rotation & Quality Control: Ensuring fresh, high-quality products reach our customers.
• Keeping Things Moving: Identifying and resolving issues like stock shortages or product damage.
• Teamwork & Safety: Working together to meet deadlines while maintaining a clean and safe workspace.
• Equipment Use: Operating forklifts and other MHE safely
