Job summary

High Seat Ltd in Batley is seeking a Despatch Operative to join our fast-paced warehouse team. You will be responsible for packing, loading and unloading furniture for delivery, using trolleys and pallets to move goods efficiently.

The role requires the ability to lift heavy items, attention to detail, and a good team spirit. Overtime may be required to support the business, with a supportive, feel-good culture at HSL.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and handle heavy goods in a fast paced environment.
• Attention to detail and good customer service.
• Willing to work overtime to support the business.

Responsibilities

• Packing and moving furniture using packaging to a high standard.
• Packing all furniture including recliners and sofas.
• Using trolleys and carts to load furniture onto trailers.
• Scanning barcodes to create shipping documents.
• Creating transport manifests and filing them for reference.
• Processing and grading returned packaging as part of our recycling scheme.
• Maintaining a clean and safe workplace for all colleagues and visitors.
