Job summary

Dunbia is seeking a Despatch Operative to join the team at our Carnaby Industrial Estate site in Bridlington. The role focuses on loading and moving stock to specification, using barcode scanners and computerised tracking systems, in line with food safety standards.

The position offers 37.5 hours per week with a pay rate of £12.71 per hour, plus benefits such as holiday entitlement, parking, and a death in service scheme. Training and PPE are provided to ensure safe operation.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand for long periods, bend, and lift heavy objects safely.
• Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to work independently or follow instructions.
• Understanding of workplace safety policies and procedures.
• Previous Forklift Truck (FLT) experience or licence is highly advantageous.
• Must provide valid proof of right to work in the UK.
• Must be able to reliably commute to place of work - Carnaby Industrial Estate YO15 3QY.

Responsibilities

• Load, move, and check product loads using barcode scanners and computerised tracking systems.
• Adhere strictly to site Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality standards and company hygiene rules.
• Conduct required equipment start-up checks and promptly report any issues or defects.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail, personal accountability, and commitment to company values.

The role will have responsibility for working as part of the Despatch Department, to load and move stock and products to specification, in line with food safety regulations and to the high quality expected by Dunbia customers.
