Job summary

Branston Potatoes is seeking reliable Despatch Forklift Truck Drivers (Counterbalance) for the Christmas production period at Nocton. Multiple shifts available, with day and night patterns. This fixed-term opportunity could lead to permanent roles for the right candidates.

Where required, overtime is available. You will operate a Counterbalance FLT, move potato products, and help with warehouse duties while maintaining safety and hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• A valid Counterbalance FLT licence or in-house refresh option may be available.
• Experience operating a Counterbalance FLT in a warehouse/manufacturing environment.
• Strong commitment to health and safety.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts and extra hours during peak periods.
• Positive attitude and willingness to support the wider team.
• Experience in food manufacturing is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently.
• Transport potato products around the site for storage and distribution to customers.
• Load and unload lorries via ramps and despatch bays.
• Complete daily forklift safety checks and report any defects.
• Follow all health and safety, food safety, and hygiene procedures.
• Assist with general warehouse and factory duties when required.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
