Job summary

Contract Personnel Ltd seeks a Forklift Driver for a temporary assignment in the NR11 area. Hours are 07:00 - 17:30, with duration expected to be a couple of weeks.

The role includes operating a forklift to load/unload crates and supporting potato grading and harvesting activities. Your duties will include following health and safety procedures, assisting with grading potatoes, and handling potatoes through the harvesting process in the field.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift truck to load and unload potato crates.
• Follow site health and safety procedures at all times.
• Grade potatoes and remove blemished or damaged potatoes during quieter periods.
• Harvest potatoes with the harvester attached to a tractor in the fields.
• Assist with lifting and de-soiling during harvesting.
• Containerise potatoes meeting company standards for storage and distribution.
• Perform any other duties as required.

Job description

We are currently looking for a Forklift Driver to join our team on a temporary basis in the NR11 area.

Duration: Approximately a couple of weeks
Hours: 07:00 - 17:30
Location: NR11

The Role

Your main duties will include:

• Operating a forklift truck (FLT) to assist with the loading and unloading of potato crates.
• Ensuring all site health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
• When things are quieter on the FLT, assisting with the grading of potatoes and removing any potatoes with visible blemishes or damage.
• Working as part of the harvesting operation, grading potatoes within the potato harvester while it is attached to a tractor and operating in the fields.
• Assisting with the lifting and de-soiling of potatoes throughout the harvesting process.
• Placing potatoes that meet company standards into containers ready for distribution and storage.
• Carrying out any other duties as required.
