About

Belcan is recruiting on a permanent basis for a Desktop Support Engineer at our South West offices.

Full-time role based at our Cheltenham GL51 or Bristol BS34 sites.

Some travel within the UK & Europe may be required.

A Desktop Support Engineer plays a crucial role in maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure (approx. 500 devices), especially at the user level.

You should have strong problem-solving skills and high interpersonal skills.

Experience

• Providing first- and second-line support for hardware, software, and network issues on desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
• Supporting end-users in person, via phone, or remotely, ensuring minimal disruption.
• Installing and maintaining hardware and peripherals.
• Installing and upgrading operating systems and software.
• Diagnosing and resolving issues related to OS, applications, printers, and connectivity.
• Traveling to sites for proactive and reactive IT support as needed.
• Managing IT assets and inventory.
• Maintaining documentation of issues and solutions.

Technical Skills Required
