Job summary

TRP Recruitment ltd is working with a fashion supplier in Central London seeking a talented Childrenswear Designer to join their team. The role focuses on trend-led design across multiple product categories with a strong commercial eye and experience developing ranges for supermarkets and fashion-forward high street brands.

You will create seasonal mood boards and CADs, translate briefs into commercially viable product, and collaborate with overseas factories through sampling and development in

Qualifications

• Previous experience within childrenswear design, ideally within a supplier environment.
• Strong trend-led handwriting with excellent fashion awareness and commercial instinct.
• Experience working with supermarkets and fashion-forward high street customers would be highly advantageous.
• Strong Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills with confidence creating CADs and technical design packs.
• Confident working under pressure, managing multiple briefs and delivering to tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop trend-led childrenswear collections across multiple product categories
• Research emerging fashion, colour, fabric, shape and cultural trends to inspire new concepts
• Create seasonal trend boards, mood boards, CADs and customer presentations
• Develop commercially relevant ranges tailored to different customers and age groups
• Work closely with customers to interpret briefs and translate them into successful product
• Produce detailed CADs, technical packs and accurate design specifications
• Work closely with overseas factories throughout the sampling and development process
• Manage multiple developments and deadlines within a fast-paced environment
