Job summary

TEC Partnership is seeking a Designated Teacher to join the safeguarding team, acting as a champion for learners with care experience. You will identify support needs, monitor wellbeing, and ensure access to education and progression opportunities.

Travel between sites is required, with a full clean driving licence essential. We value committed professionals who can build trusted relationships, work with external agencies, and uphold inclusion and safeguarding standards across the college.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting care-experienced or vulnerable learners is essential.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and ability to build trusted relationships.
• Excellent communication, organisation and resilience in sensitive situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide a consistent point of contact for learners with care experience.
• Identify support needs and coordinate access to education, pastoral support and progression.
• Monitor wellbeing and progress and coordinate with families and external agencies.
• Travel between sites and authorities; maintain DBS and other required checks.
