Job summary

Witherslack Group seeks a Designated Safeguarding Lead for Westmorland School to lead safeguarding strategy, liaise daily with agencies, staff, and families, and drive best practice across locations.

You will provide expert guidance on safeguarding matters, support staff, and report on investigations, ensuring safeguarding is embedded in all activities and decisions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in a Designated Safeguarding Lead role.
• Portfolio of continuing professional development related to Safeguarding and Child Protection.
• Outstanding interpersonal and problem‑resolution skills.
• Genuinely empathetic approach to working with children and families.
• Full UK driving licence.
