Designate Senior Sous Chef | Birmingham West | Full Time

The Role |

As a Senior Sous Chef, you will be an inspirational leader, fostering a positive environment for your team and guests. You will support continuous coaching and development to help your team excel while driving restaurant performance and delivering outstanding results.

What You’ll Do |

  • Create a caring and supportive environment, celebrating successes and nurturing talent within your team, role-modeling a coaching culture.
  • Ensure an exceptional guest experience by maintaining high standards in food preparation and safety, and empowering your team with the necessary skills and mindset.
  • Maintain spotless food, health, and safety standards; understand financial metrics such as gross profit, stock control, and labor costs; proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Build and develop a strong, motivated team from recruitment through ongoing development, fostering personal and professional growth.
  • Be a proactive problem solver, capable of quick decision-making in a fast-paced environment.

What We Look For |

  • Experience leading a kitchen team as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef, with a track record of performance management in a busy environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a considerate and supportive approach that ensures your team feels heard and valued.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, health standards, and financial management including GP and stock control.
  • Ability to manage labor costs effectively and adapt to changing demands.
  • Leadership qualities that inspire and engage your team to thrive and grow in their careers.

  • A proactive problem solver, able to think on your feet and make quick decisions.
