Job summary

Bourne Community College is seeking a proactive Whole School Technician (Design Technology) to support teaching and learning by preparing and maintaining equipment, resources, and workspaces across the Design Technology and Engineering departments. You will assist staff and students in practical sessions, carry out routine maintenance, and ensure all areas are safe and ready for use.

This is a permanent post starting Sep/Oct 2026, 37 hours per week, term time only plus inset days, NJC Grade

Qualifications

• Responsibilities include preparing materials and resources for Design Technology and Engineering lessons.
• Assist staff and students in practical sessions and ensure equipment and spaces are ready for use.
• Carry out routine maintenance and repairs and keep areas safe and tidy.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning by preparing and maintaining equipment, resources, and workspaces in the Design Technology and Engineering department.
• Assist staff and students in practical sessions and ensure all areas are safe, tidy and ready for use.
• Prepare materials and resources for practical lessons in Design Technology and Engineering; some preparation for Art Department.
• Work across subject areas under the direction of the Director of the Technology Faculty.
