Job summary

Oakwood School is recruiting a Design Technology Technician for the Design and Technology department. The role is 32.5 hours per week, term-time only, Monday to Friday, 8.15am to 3.15pm, with some flexibility to reduce hours for the right candidate.

The technician will provide technical support, assist in lessons, and carry out cleaning, maintenance and arranging specialist testing of equipment. Salary £28,546–£30,581 (FTE).

Qualifications

• Provide technical and support to the Subject Leader for Design and Technology and other teaching staff as required.
• Advise and assist in lessons as “technician support” when booked by teaching staff.
• Perform day to day cleaning of departmental classrooms and equipment as appropriate.
• Perform day to day maintenance and repair of departmental equipment.
• Arrange for specialist maintenance and testing of departmental equipment.
