We are seeking an organized, practical, and dependable Design & Technology Technician to join an 'Outstanding' Ofsted-rated secondary school in East Finchley.
This role plays a crucial part in supporting the DT department across all key stages. You will work closely with teaching staff to maintain workshop safety, prepare materials, manage equipment, and assist students during practical hands-on lessons.
Prepare timber, acrylics, metals, and tools for practical sessions across Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A-Level.
Maintain, service, and ensure the safe working order of workshop machinery (e.g., band saws, pillar drills, sanders, 3D printers, and laser cutters).
Ensure strict compliance with Health & Safety regulations (DATA/COSHH guidelines) across workshops, prep rooms, and storage spaces.
Support classroom teachers during practical lessons, helping students safely operate equipment and machinery.
Monitor stock levels, organize materials, and manage equipment maintenance records.
