Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a passionate Construction and Design Technology Teacher to support secondary schools and academies across Rotherham, starting September 2026. You will deliver high-quality DT and Construction lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4, foster a safe workshop environment, and inspire students with practical and theoretical learning.

QTS or equivalent, strong classroom management, enhanced DBS, and a proven track record are required.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent secondary teaching qualification.
• Proven experience teaching Design Technology or Construction in a UK secondary setting.
• Strong classroom management skills and commitment to student safety in workshop environments.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Construction and DT lessons to students at Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Foster a safe and engaging workshop environment focusing on practical skills and theoretical knowledge.
• Plan and deliver creative lessons that inspire students to excel in technical subjects.
