Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a passionate Design Technology Teacher to deliver engaging DT lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 in Milton Keynes. You will inspire students with hands-on learning, support development of technical skills, and plan and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum.

The ideal candidate holds QTS or equivalent, has DT teaching experience in secondary schools, and can create an inclusive, engaging learning environment while supporting student progression.

Qualifications

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Has experience teaching Design Technology within a secondary school setting.
• Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and enthusiasm for their specialism.
• Can create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
• Is committed to supporting student achievement and progression.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and practical DT lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Inspire students through creative and hands-on learning experiences.
• Support pupils in developing technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and confidence within the workshop environment.
• Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
