Job summary

Exclusive Education is seeking a Design Technology teacher to work in a secondary school in the Wigan area. The role is full-time and involves delivering Theory and Practical DT across KS3-4, with planning and marking responsibilities and some general cover as needed.

The ideal candidate will hold QTS (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed., BA Hons) and be eligible to work in the UK; DBS update service is preferred or willing to apply. Excellent rates and strong safeguarding commitment are offered.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with QTS and UK eligibility.
• Experience teaching Design/DT to KS3-4.
• DBS check in update service or willing to apply.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver DT lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Assess and mark students' work promptly and constructively.
• Manage classroom behaviour to create a positive learning environment.
• Adapt teaching methods for pupils with diverse needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop the Design curriculum.
• Support safeguarding policies and pupil welfare.
