Smart Teachers are working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Haringey to recruit a dedicated Resistant Materials Teacher for a fixed-term position from January 2027 until July 2027.

This is a 0.8 timetable, teaching Key Stage 3 Resistant Materials only, making it an excellent opportunity for a teacher seeking a part-time role with a manageable teaching load.

The Role

• Part-time (0.8 FTE)
• January 2027 - July 2027
• Teaching Resistant Materials across Key Stage 3 only
• Deliver engaging, practical lessons that inspire creativity and develop technical skills
• Assess student progress and provide effective feedback
• Contribute positively to the wider Design & Technology department

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Have experience teaching Resistant Materials within a secondary school setting
• Be confident teaching Key Stage 3
• Demonstrate strong classroom management skills
• Be passionate about practical learning and encouraging student achievement
