Exciting Opportunity: Design & Technology Teacher - Darlington

Are you a fully qualified Design & Technology teacher or an Early Careers Teacher (ECT) with QTS, passionate about inspiring the next generation? This is your chance to join a vibrant and supportive school community!

Position: Design & Technology Teacher
Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 (M1 - UPS3)
Contract: Full-Time
Start Date: Easter 2025

What We're Looking For:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• A solid understanding of the Design & Technology curriculum
• A specialism in Hard Materials is desirable, but applicants with specialisms in other areas of Design & Technology are also encouraged to apply
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• An enhanced child-only DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
• Two professional references from recent employment

Your Role:

• Teach engaging Design & Technology lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, covering both practical and theoretical aspects of the curriculum
• Make full use of the school's modern facilities and resources to enhance student learning
• Motivate and challenge students of varying abilities, encouraging them to develop a love for the subject
• Contribute to extracurricular activities, promoting D&T beyond the classroom
