Design and Technology Teacher (Temp-to-Perm)

Location: Darlington, County Durham

Salary: £31,650 – £49,084 per annum (MPS/UPS, dependent on experience)

Contract Type: Full-Time, Temporary to Permanent

Start Date: September 2025

About The Role

Vision for Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Design and Technology Teacher to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Darlington. This full-time position offers a temporary contract with the potential to become permanent, providing an excellent opportunity for both experienced educators and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to make a significant impact within a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver engaging and effective Design and Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  2. Inspire and challenge students to achieve their full potential in Design and Technology.
  3. Utilize a variety of teaching strategies to cater to diverse learning needs.
  4. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  5. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum plans.
Requirements
  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a PGCE in Design and Technology or equivalent.
  2. Strong knowledge of the UK Design and Technology curriculum.
  3. Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  4. Commitment to continuous professional development.
  5. A valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
