Job summary

Atherton High School is seeking a hardworking, enthusiastic Teacher of Design Technology to deliver a broad and ambitious DT curriculum. If you are experienced, open to new ideas and have a flexible, can-do approach, we would welcome your application. ECTs are welcome.

You will implement and deliver high-quality DT teaching across KS3-KS4, monitor student progress, and contribute to raising standards while supporting personal and academic growth within the school community.

Qualifications

• QTS qualified (ECT applications welcome).
• Strong knowledge of national/examination curricular requirements for Design Technology.
• Ability to plan lessons with clear objectives to ensure progression for all students.
• Established as an effective teacher across the age and ability range.
• Understanding of safeguarding children and young people.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a broad, ambitious Design & Technology curriculum for all pupils.
• Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and high-quality teaching across Food Technology for KS3-KS4.
• Monitor and support students’ progress and development as a teacher/form tutor.
• Contribute to raising standards of student attainment.
• Support the Academy’s goals for personal and academic growth.
