Job summary

OCU Design are seeking an experienced Design Project Manager to lead design delivery across complex infrastructure projects, coordinating with clients, consultants and site teams to ensure timely, high-quality output from concept through construction.

Based at the Stockport Head Office with home-based flexibility, the role requires strong technical understanding and stakeholder management, plus proactive management of design risk and change throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong experience in design engineering/management of infrastructure projects.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary coordination and manage design risk.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of design across assigned projects.
• Manage design programmes, deliverables, interfaces, and key milestones.
• Work closely with clients, consultants, supply chain partners, and internal teams.
• Support safe, buildable, and compliant design solutions in line with project and business requirements.
• Monitor progress, manage change, and provide clear reporting to project leadership.
