What sets us apart:
Our Design Managers work across the project lifecycle, including asset planning/strategy, concept design, outline design, and detailed design. They work in various areas within the water sector, such as clean water treatment and networks, wastewater treatment, wastewater networks, flooding, and urban drainage. Our local design teams are involved in large partnership initiatives like Hull and East Riding’s Living with Water partnership, award-winning projects such as the Clifton Integrated Constructed Wetland project, and have recently been successful in bidding for exciting new work with multiple frameworks ahead of AMP 8, including Yorkshire Water's Storm Overflow Alliance, United Utilities' Design Development Partnership, Northumbrian Water's Strategic Technical Partnership, and more across the UK.
As a Design Manager, you will play a key role in projects to identify innovative and sustainable solutions, work collaboratively with clients, oversee technical delivery, and lead multidisciplinary teams throughout the project. You will work alongside the Project Manager to deliver value and excellent client service. You will have access to Stantec’s world-class expertise to help you deliver cutting-edge design.
About You:
We are seeking someone passionate about solving engineering problems, capable of leading and inspiring teams, and confident in driving challenging solutions. To be considered, you should be a degree-qualified (or equivalent) engineer, ideally chartered or a member of a relevant engineering institution such as ICE. Support can be provided to achieve this if needed. You should have experience in a similar role, with a technical background in disciplines such as Civils, MEICA, Process, or others relevant to the water sector.
