Our Design Managers work across the project lifecycle in asset planning / strategy, concept design, outline design and detailed design. We work in a variety of project areas within the water sector, including clean water treatment and networks, wastewater treatment, wastewater networks, flooding, and urban drainage. Our local design teams are involved in large partnership initiatives such as Hull and East Riding’s Living with Water partnership, award-winning projects such as the Clifton Integrated Constructed Wetland project and more recently have been successful in bidding for exciting new work with multiple frameworks ahead of AMP 8.
This includes Yorkshire Water's Storm Overflow Alliance, United Utilities' Design Development Partnership, Northumbrian Water's Strategic Technical Partnership and more across the UK.
As Design Manager, youwillplaya fundamental rolewithin projectstoidentify innovative and sustainable solutions, work collaboratively with the client, plantechnical delivery,andlead the multidisciplinary teamthroughout the project.You willwork alongside the Project Manager to deliver best value and client service excellence.You willhave access toStantec’sworld-class expertisetohelp youdeliverleading edgedesign.

Weare looking for someonewho has a passion forsolving engineering problems, the ability to leadandinspireandtheconfidence todrive throughchallengingsolutions.
To be considered for this role, youwillbe adegreequalified(or equivalent)engineerand you will ideally bechartered,or a member of a relevant engineering institutione.g.ICE.Support can be givento achievethis if required. You will have experience of working in a similar position, with a technical background in the likes of Civils, MEICA, Process or other relevant discipline.
