Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited in Fakenham is seeking a Design Manager (Structural Steel) to lead a small team and deliver steelwork designs across commercial, residential and industrial projects.

You will manage 3 design engineers, prepare technical reports, and liaise with production and clients. Hybrid working options are available; hours are 08:00–17:00 Mon-Thu and 08:00–14:00 Fri. The role offers £45,000-£55,000 with progression and company benefits.

• SolidWorks experience.

Since launching, the company has worked on a wide variety of projects for schools and housing companies, where they have prioritised high-quality delivery and customer satisfaction.

The successful candidate will be working across a wide variety of high-profile projects where you will be managing a team of 3 design engineers. There will be opportunities for hybrid working.

This role would suit a Design Manager with previous SolidWorks experience that is looking for an opportunity to step into a more senior position and develop your skillset further.

The Role:

• Completing technical designs for the commercial, residential and industrial steelworks
• Managing a team of 3 Design Engineers
• Preparing Technical reports and specifications
• Monday to Thursday (08:00 - 17:00), Friday (08:00 - 14:00)
