Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Design Manager for a fast-growing metalwork fabrication company in the UK. You will oversee technical designs for commercial, residential and industrial steelworks and manage a small team of 3 design engineers.

With SolidWorks experience and 2D/3D CAD proficiency, you will prepare technical reports and specifications while driving high-quality delivery across projects. There is hybrid working on offer as the business expands.

Qualifications

• Experience with metalwork designs and architectural steelwork.
• SolidWorks experience with 2D/3D CAD proficiency.
• Ability to lead and manage a small design team.

Are you a Design Manager looking for an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing metalwork fabrication company that can offer you fantastic career progression as well as supporting your work life balance?

The business is a growing architectural metal work company with an excellent reputation across the residential and industrial market.

Since launching, the company has worked on a wide variety of projects for schools and housing companies, where they have prioritised high-quality delivery and customer satisfaction.

The successful candidate will be working across a wide variety of high-profile projects where you will be managing a team of 3 design engineers. There will be opportunities for hybrid working.

This role would suit a Design Manager with previous SolidWorks experience that is looking for an opportunity to step into a more senior position and develop your skillset further.

The Role:

• Completing technical designs for the commercial, residential and industrial steelworks
• Managing a team of 3 Design Engineers
• Preparing Technical reports and specifications
• Monday to Thursday (08:00 - 17:00), Friday (08:00 - 14:00)

The Person:

• Experience with Metalwork Designs
