Job summary

A leading energy services provider in Leeds is seeking a Design Manager to oversee project lifecycles from design to construction. You will manage internal and external design teams, ensuring viable designs that mitigate risks and deliver efficient solutions promptly. The role requires demonstrable M&E design experience and line management skills, along with knowledge of large-scale heating systems and energy-saving initiatives. Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in M&E design in a project delivery environment.
• Line Management Experience of a small team.
• Hands-on experience with large scale heating systems (i.e. 2-10MWt).
• Awareness of regulatory compliance associated with industrial projects.
• Exposure to energy saving measures from conception to delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to the project manager during construction.
• Act as the single point of contact with major clients for technical coordination.
• Oversee a portfolio of projects, managing design and survey programmes.
• Manage external design consultants to produce necessary designs.
• Handle technical risks and project challenges effectively.
