Job summary

Bouygues UK Limited is seeking an experienced Design Manager for a 1-year fixed-term contract on the £51.3 million Rosedale College campus redevelopment in the London Borough of Hillingdon. You will lead the design process, ensure compliance with contractual requirements, and coordinate information to deliver on time and within budget.

The role requires a construction or architecture qualification, main-contractor experience, and strong knowledge of the RIBA Plan of Work, design stages, planning

Qualifications

• Relevant Construction or Architecture qualification.
• Experience with main contractor projects.
• Strong knowledge of design process across stages (commercial and construction).
• Understands the RIBA Plan of Work.
• Experience coordinating with clients and consultants.
• Knowledge of building regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design process to meet contractual requirements.
• Coordinate and manage design consultants.
• Act as liaison between client, consultants, and project staff.
• Coordinate the preparation, review & sign-off of design documentation.
• Support the commercial and procurement teams in design packages & strategies.
• Represent Bouygues UK at meetings with clients, stakeholders & regulators.
• Oversee design input for environmental certifications (e.g., BREEAM).
• Contribute to risk management and design quality reviews at key stages.
• Facilitate design handovers between preconstruction and site teams.
