UNKNOWN is recruiting a Design Manager to lead the design management team on a major healthcare development project in Buckinghamshire, near Milton Keynes. You will steer the design process from feasibility to on-site coordination, ensuring designs meet budget and buildability constraints.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years in design management, preferably with a UK main contractor, and experience across healthcare, life sciences, education, commercial or leisure sectors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Design Management experience.
• Experience with UK main contractors preferred.
• Experience on New Build projects in Healthcare, Life Science, Education, Commercial or Leisure sectors is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design process from feasibility through to on-site delivery.
• Coordinate design staffing and resources across tendering and execution phases.
• Ensure design outputs meet statutory and project constraints (budget, buildability).
• Organise regular design coordination meetings and technical reviews.
• Collaborate with lead designers across multi-disciplinary packages.
