Job summary

Apple Technical Recruitment (UK) is seeking a Senior Design Manager for a c.£200m+ healthcare development in Buckinghamshire. Based in pre-construction with travel to London, you will lead design management from feasibility through to on-site coordination, ensuring technical accuracy and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a minimum of 10 years in design management for a Tier 1 or major Main Contractor, with healthcare sector experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' experience in a Design Management role for a Tier 1 or major Main Contractor.
• Healthcare sector experience would be highly advantageous.
• Previous Roles: Technical Manager | Senior Design Manager | Design Manager | Design & Build Manager.

Responsibilities

• Oversee technical compliance and design management across feasibility, planning and procurement, with on-site coordination.
• Act as the primary liaison between the design team, client and site delivery team.
• Ensure full technical accuracy and compliance with building standards, healthcare design requirements.

Education

Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related discipline
