Job summary

Bouygues Travaux Publics is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead the Main Civil Works design delivery for Sizewell C in the UK. The role focuses on coordinating design development, technical interfaces and delivery across client, construction teams, designers, consultants and the supply chain.

You will drive design optimisation, challenge proposals, manage interfaces between design, materials, procurement and construction methodology, and ensure safe, constructible and value-driven

Qualifications

• We are looking for candidates with strong design management experience in complex civil/major infrastructure projects.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary designers, consultants, contractors and stakeholders.
• Experience managing design information, interfaces, changes and deliverables.
• Degree-level qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate development, review, control and delivery of design information across packages.
• Ensure design information is complete, coordinated and delivered per programme.
• Review designs for technical compliance, safety and constructability.
• Coordinate design programmes with construction, procurement and commercial needs.
• Monitor progress, resources and reporting to project leadership.
• Lead option studies and value engineering; manage design risks and changes to close-out.
• Manage design consultants with clear scopes and performance expectations.
