Job summary

EDF Energy Limited seeks a Technical Engineering Manager – Transverse for Sizewell C to lead the technical management of the transverse civil engineering scope. You will drive design integration, governance and verification activities, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure designs are buildable and aligned to programme requirements.

The role requires extensive experience in heavy civil/structural design, familiarity with regulated nuclear projects, and a Chartered

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership.
• Strong understanding of design management, technical assurance and governance.
• Knowledge of reinforced concrete, structural steel or external works design.
• Experience leading technical delivery on large, complex design packages.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical management of transverse civil engineering scope across the Civil Works Programme.
• Define, develop and validate technical requirements and specifications.
• Manage technical change, open points and configuration control processes.
• Drive design assurance activities and support acceptance of design deliverables.
• Coordinate technical interfaces across Civil Works, Site Establishment and SZC programmes.
• Ensure buildability, constructability and lifecycle considerations are embedded in design solutions.
