SJP recruitment services is seeking a Design Manager in London to lead the design process from tender through to project completion. You’ll coordinate consultants, drive design meetings, and ensure designs are compliant and buildable while aligning with client requirements.

The role involves supporting Building Safety Act compliance, managing multidisciplinary design teams, and collaborating with commercial and operations to mitigate project risks.

Formación

• Previous experience as a Design Manager within a main contractor environment.
• Strong understanding of construction design and project delivery.
• Knowledge of the Building Safety Act and current regulations.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary design teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Construction-related qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience using BIM and Common Data Environments would be advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Manage the design process from tender through to project completion.
• Coordinate consultants and specialist subcontractors.
• Lead design meetings and manage technical queries.
• Ensure designs are compliant, buildable, and aligned with client requirements.
• Support Building Safety Act compliance and regulatory submissions.
• Collaborate with commercial and operational teams to manage project risks.
• Maintain accurate design records and project documentation.
