Job summary

Aldwych Consulting Ltd is seeking a Design Manager to oversee design delivery for UK retail fuel, forecourt and EV charging projects. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage design programmes and ensure regulatory compliance and value across the project portfolio.

The role requires strong leadership, client liaison and site engagement, with hybrid working across office, home and site visits.

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary design teams across retail, forecourt or EV projects.
• Strong knowledge of UK planning, design and construction processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead design management for retail fuel, forecourt and EV charging projects.
• Coordinate architects, engineers, planners and external consultants.
• Manage design programmes, reviews and approvals against budgets.
• Ensure designs meet client needs, regulatory requirements and safety standards.
• Support stakeholders with design options, feasibility and value engineering.
