ABOUT THE ROLE

An exciting opportunity for an ambitious and energetic Technical Design Manager to join our busy technical team! You will direct the technical team and provide first-class customer service to staff and customers.

This role involves issuing project specifications, drawings, and calculations for external wall insulation and render systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and issue project specifications, AutoCAD drawings, U-value, and interstitial condensation calculations according to policy.
• Advise customers on technical specifications based on in-depth knowledge of EWI, render systems, SFS brick slip systems, and more.
• Provide NBS technical specifications for Licata products.
• Manage technical queries efficiently within the team.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers and support contractors with project detailing.
• Ensure compliance with construction legislation, Building Regulations, BBA Approvals, and British Standards.
• Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and company policies.

Requirements:

• Qualification in a building, architectural, or engineering discipline.
• Experience with AutoCAD 2D and JPA/BuildDesk software for U-value calculations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to read architectural/construction drawings and understand NBS specifications.
• Knowledge of relevant construction regulations, planning, and building control.
• Experience with 3D drawing software is advantageous.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills.
• Technical knowledge of external wall insulation and render systems.
