Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is recruiting for a Design Manager/Coordinator in Bristol. You will coordinate and drive the design process across live projects, ensuring buildability, compliance and timely delivery in line with programme.

Ideal candidates will have main contracting design experience (minimum 12 months) and be capable of leading consultants and internal teams to deliver robust design solutions. A pathway to senior design management is available.

Qualifications

• Experience with a construction main contractor
• Understanding of design process in construction projects
• Strong coordination and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design information from pre-construction through to completion on live projects
• Drive design programmes and ensure information is issued to meet construction requirements
• Review drawings, specifications and technical information for buildability and compliance
• Manage consultant and subcontractor design contributions and resolve clashes
• Identify design risks and buildability issues early and escalate where needed
• Chair and contribute to design team meetings and liaise with site teams to implement design
• Monitor design changes and ensure timely communication to all stakeholders
• Support procurement through timely release and review of design information
• Ensure designs meet client requirements, statutory regulations and contractual obligations
