Job summary

Matchtech represents a renowned consultancy in the water sector recruiting a Design Manager (Civil) to join the Newcastle team on a contract basis. The role includes secondments into Stantec and focuses on both infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects within an IR35 framework.

You will lead design management, coordinate with project teams, manage timelines and resources, provide technical leadership and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil engineering within the water sector.
• Proven ability to manage design projects from inception to completion.
• Strong knowledge of design principles, industry standards, and regulations.
• Excellent project management and organisational skills.
• Ability to provide technical leadership and guidance.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
