Job summary

O’Neill & Brennan in Reading are seeking a Senior Design Manager for a live site regeneration project. The role is freelance for an initial 6-month period with extension possible.

You will lead on design tasks, manage CDP, and work closely with the project team on site in Berkshire. The ideal candidate will have a UK construction qualification and at least five years’ experience as a Senior Design Manager, with proven ability to operate within a Tier 1 contractor environment and to manage site

Design Manager – Reading

This leading Tier 1 contractor has a great freelance opportunity for a Senior Design Manager, that could be extended beyond the initial period of 6 months.

You will as Senior Design Manager work on a live site in Reading, Berkshire. The site is a large, phased regeneration project consisting of residential units, a school and commercial/retail unit.

Your role as Senior Design Manager will be to support the current project team with all design tasks. The design is complete, and you will be managing CDP, and will need to have experience of managing site expectations. More details can be given when you have submitted your application and if you are selected.

As a Tier 1, contractor you will have worked for leading construction companies and be familiar with paperwork and processes aligned with working with a Tier 1. Processes and procedures to you as a Design Manager will be second nature and you will be comfortable entering a busy, active site to add support.

A UK construction qualification is essential and at least 5yrs as a Senior Design Manager.
