Job summary

Red Rock Consultants Ltd is seeking an experienced M&E Design Manager for a permanent, hybrid role in the Midlands. Responsibilities include coordinating mechanical and electrical design from RIBA Stage 3 to Stage 5, leading a small two-person design team, and ensuring buildable, client-aligned designs across Midlands projects.

The successful candidate will have an engineering qualification, UK driving licence and a track record in front-end design for MEP projects within building services.

• Experience coordinating both mechanical and electrical disciplines.
• Front-end, pre-construction focused position overseeing design from RIBA Stage 3 to 5.
• Manage a small design team consisting of two designers (Mechanical & Electrical).

Description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced M&E Design Manager to join an established M&E contractor based in Telford, with projects primarily across the Midlands. The successful candidate can be either mechanically or electrically biased, with a strong understanding of the wider M&E design process and the ability to coordinate both disciplines. This is a front-end, pre-construction focused position, responsible for overseeing the design process from RIBA Stage 3 through to Stage 5, ensuring designs are coordinated, buildable and delivered in line with client requirements. You will manage a small design team consisting of two designers, one Mechanical and one Electrical, whilst acting as a key point of contact between the design team, clients, contractors and other project stakeholders.

Qualifications
