Company Overview:

Our client is a leading manufacturer dedicated to producing products of exceptional quality. With a strong finish to 2023 and an excellent start to the first half of 2024, they are looking for a Design Manager with potential progression to Director to join their Senior Management Team.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Oversee a team of 4 Mechanical Design Engineers, with plans to expand the team
• Work on machinery supplied worldwide
• Manage multiple projects, delegate workloads, and ensure timely completion
• Act as the interface between the Design Team and customers
• Oversee risk assessments and ensure machinery safety
• Report to the Board of Directors
• Manage design processes from concept to completion

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience as a Senior Design Engineer, specifically with Special Purpose machinery
• Proficiency with AutoDesk Inventor and SolidWorks
• Experience leading a design team, ensuring high standards and punctuality
• Mechanical Engineering Degree
• Knowledge of DMFEA, DMF, FMEA
