O'Neill & Brennan are recruiting a Design Manager to lead design coordination on public sector projects. The role is contract-based, initially 6 months with potential extension, and involves 2–3 days in the office, site visits, and occasional remote work.
The assignment includes an MOD facility in North Hampshire, plus other public sector schemes (education, healthcare, government, prisons, MOJ, MOD) with the contractor's regional activity in Surrey and the South East.
A new opportunity has just opened up for a Design Manager to work on a contract basis for a minimum period of 6 months, however your contract is likely to be ongoing due to the volume of new projects.
The company is a well-established, highly regarded Tier 1 main contractor that are experiencing significant growth in their defence division in the Southern Home Counties of Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire and Berkshire.
Your role as Design Manager will be to work office based for 2-3 days per week initially and split your time with site visits and working remotely.
The project you will be involved with initially is a new build and part refurbishment at an MOD facility in North Hampshire and will run for 9 months. There are other projects on the same contract which will run concurrently so the requirement is likely to grow. General values for this contractor are from £2m to £22m in value.
For this Design Manager position you will have worked for main contractors and will have worked on a variety of projects in the public sector such as education, healthcare, government, prisons & MOJ, MOD.
A UK Architectural or construction qualification is required and this role will suit Design Managers with upwards of 5yrs post graduate experience.
