Job summary

Building Careers UK Ltd is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead the design management function on high-rise residential schemes in London. You will coordinate design information, manage technical risk and ensure delivery to programme across live projects.

Working closely with architects, engineers and subcontractors, you will chair design team meetings, oversee RFIs, design changes and approvals, and drive design coordination from pre-construction through to project completion, ensuring

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Design Manager within a main contractor environment.
• Strong track record delivering high-rise residential projects, including new build developments.
• Experience managing recladding, facade remediation or external envelope projects.
• Excellent knowledge of design coordination, technical delivery and construction sequencing.
• Strong understanding of Building Regulations, fire safety requirements and the Building Safety Act.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead multidisciplinary design teams and build strong relationships with clients and consultants.

An established building contractor with a strong reputation for delivering complex residential projects is looking to appoint an experienced Design Manager.

With a strong pipeline of work across high-rise residential developments, including both new build schemes and major recladding and remediation projects, this is an opportunity to take a lead role on technically challenging projects from pre-construction through to completion.

Working closely with operational teams, consultants and clients, you'll be responsible for driving the design process, managing technical risk and ensuring design information is delivered to programme across live projects.

The Role
